Does SmartPic upload my photos? +
Photo processing is designed to run locally on your Mac. SmartPic does not require uploads to remove backgrounds, erase objects, or upscale images.
Note: license activation/validation uses Lemon Squeezy API endpoints (license key + instance id).
What file types are supported? +
SmartPic accepts common image formats supported by macOS. Output is saved as PNG for background removal (to preserve transparency). For other conversions, SmartPic saves JPEG with a clean white background.
Can I batch process multiple images? +
Yes. You can select multiple images and process them in one run. SmartPic can also save results into a folder you choose.
How does Finder integration work? +
SmartPic installs macOS Services so you can right‑click an image in Finder and run actions like Upscale or Remove Background. Object removal opens in an interactive editor.
Do I need a license? +
SmartPic features are license‑gated. After purchase, enter your license key in Settings to activate on this Mac. Activation limits depend on your license (shown by the licensing provider).
What should I do if something breaks? +
Email hello@smartpic.store with your macOS version, SmartPic version, and steps to reproduce.
